Chypre is one of the rare formulas to date back to Le Galion’s foundation by Prince Murat in 1930. In 2020, Jean-Christophe Hérault gave this fragrance a modern look by composing this wardrobe essential, full of movement and life.

The pink peppercorn and rose oxide give a fresh and completely modern hook to a mainly floral heart of jasmine and rose. All the makings of a great chypre are gathered to harmonise with one another, followed by the disarming sensuality of patchouli and musk.

A word from perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault: 
“In this fragrance, I used very contemporary raw materials such as the fresh and clean rose oxide, but also olfactory markers that pay tribute to 20th century perfumery, such as the famous and incredibly sensual Animalis base. To me, this sums up everything that makes the chypre style relevant, as a true classic to be interpreted - and worn! – forever.”
