Patchouli coated in sandalwood, the past softened by the prism of time. The first imposes its rough, autumnal, damp, leafy notes. The second, drier and rounder, balances this woody harmony. Cade essence joins them, revealing itself in a halo of smoke to further mystify them.
This exotic leaf that reached our nostrils thanks to the Silk Road captivated the bourgeoisie of the nineteenth century as well as the hippies of the twentieth. Patchouli calls for a desire for elsewhere, for exoticism and mystery. Essence of paradoxes, its embalming side, rounded by tonka bean, sandalwood and tolu balm succeeds in reconciling the rebelliousness and the "establishment". Never earthy, it recalls the dry leaves of the shrub like the opulent silks that carried its sweet and enticing smell.
